Thursday we had our host family celebration and goodbye. Friday we were sworn as official Peace Corps Volunteers at the US Embassy in Lima. Saturday we goodbye to all the friends we made during training and headed to our regional capitals. It's been a crazy few days here.

I'm writing this from my hostel room in Cajamarca City, my regional capital. Cajamarca City is by far one of the most beautiful cities I have been to yet. Very old and very traditional, in the mountains and the closest American chain is 6-8 hours away. At night the old churches are lit up and up the hillsides you see dozens upon dozens of lights shining. In less than 24 ill be in my site, my home for the next 2 years. Its crazy to think that my service begins tomorrow. Who knows what's in store but stories like this aren't at all the norm but do make you hope.

This was really short but I'll be posting more on my site later this week and answering the questions I've gotten!
